What is The Overloader?

The Overloader is an attachment used on pin-loaded or selectorized gym machines to add weight beyond the built-in stack. It allows lifters to continue progressing when the machine’s weight stack is no longer sufficient.

What machines are compatible with The Overloader?

How is The Overloader different from standard gym pins?

Standard gym pins use a single fixed diameter and limited capacity. The Overloader uses a modular dowel system that allows users to change sizes, increase supported weight, and adapt one gym pin system to multiple machines, including switch loaded machines.

How much weight can The Overloader support?

Maximum supported weight depends on dowel size:

  • Size 1: up to 45 lbs

  • Size 2: up to 100 lbs

  • Size 3: up to 180 lbs

  • Size 4: up to 400 lbs

  • Size 5: up to 800 lbs

Always load responsibly and keep plates as close to the machine as possible.

What are Extra Dowels used for?

Extra Dowels are used to increase weight capacity, replace lost dowels, or adapt The Overloader to different machines. They allow one gym pin system to remain flexible as training needs or equipment change.

Do I need all five dowel sizes?

Most commercial gyms only need two to three dowel sizes. Each Overloader set includes five sizes so you can test fit across machines.

Is The Overloader safe to use?

When used as instructed and loaded responsibly, The Overloader is designed for controlled machine overloading. Always follow included instructions and use appropriate judgment when adding weight.

Is The Overloader allowed in commercial gyms?

Policies vary by gym. Many commercial gyms allow gym pins when used properly. Always follow facility rules and load plates responsibly.

Does this work for microloading?

Yes. The Overloader allows both microloading and heavy overloading, making it suitable for gradual progression as well as advanced training.
